Our committee works toward encouraging students to self-commute safely to school on bikes or on foot.  As we say a sad goodbye to the Boltage program, we say hello to the “The Hub Club”, a similar trip tracking online program powered by the Saris Cycling Group. The Hub works like Boltage, allowing users to track their active commuting, earn awards and see the impact they can make with their choices. Doss’ “Hub Club” offers incentives for students who bike and walk to school and “beep” in at the Hub electronic reader near the cafeteria, using their personalized card (provided free!). Trips can also be added manually through the website or via a mobile device. Volunteers are needed to help solicit donations from program partners and distribute incentives (stickers, stamps, snacks, etc.) on the first Wednesday morning of each month and other times throughout the year. We also give away a grand prize new bike at the end of the school year. We need help with the Bike Rodeo that will now take place in the Spring. We may also contact you to attend a meeting with city or AISD officials to continue the conversation about getting our students safely to school. Come roll with us!
