Good afternoon Doss parents and families.  I hope your Friday is off to a great start. It was WONDERFUL to see many of our students and families yesterday!  Like I told many of our parents, it is always amazing to see how much our children have grown over the past few months.  I truly appreciated seeing everyone and seeing the interactions between your children and their teachers.  I look forward watching…

Good afternoon Doss parents and families.   We are anxiously preparing for the return of all of our staff on Monday, August 8th!  We have so many fun activities for our staff to collaborate and build community.  Our goal is to continue to build a strong foundation of community and culture for our students.  Our new staff made their way to campus this week to begin setting up their rooms and are…

Good afternoon Doss parents and community.  I hope you all are well today. We’ve had another busy, but successful week here at Doss.  First, I would like to welcome a few new staff members to Doss.  If you didn’t know, Mrs. Lang decided to job share her librarian position with well-known and Anderson Vertical Team librarian alum, Mrs. Celeste Pustka.  Mrs. Pustka comes to Doss with a tremendous amount of experience…

Good afternoon Doss parents and families!

It’s been an incredibly busy but enjoyable summer thus far.  In the early part of June, Ms. Wankel and several Doss teachers conducted summer school for many of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.  We were thankful to have each of them serving our students and for the low student/teacher ratios.  I and several members of our staff were also able to get the majority of hiring completed just before we left for a much needed break.  We are EXCITED for our families to meet our new staff!

Doss Owls

On Friday, the Doss staff spent the morning engaging in discussion around furniture at our new campus.  The purpose was to ensure they had an understanding of what they could and could not bring with them this summer and to help them make more informed decisions about selecting their modernized furniture on Tuesday. We also conducted an annual compliance training over the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) and reviewed…
