Next week, we will begin the process of choosing furniture for our new campus. Dr. Steenport and several members of the staff will engage in selecting the district’s options for modernized campus. Per our Campus Advisory Committee (CAC), we will also be including students into this process so we can ensure we are selecting pieces that will be used on a regular basis and that fit their needs.
Dr. Steenport also began attending weekly meetings with the construction firm and district officials this week. We reviewed the current status of the build (on time) and any current constraints that need to be resolved. In addition, the crew stated that steel has arrived (see photo) and the crane has already began moving it to the correct location on-site to begin building. They will also be providing Dr. Steenport with communication regarding the philosophy behind a modernized campus and how to use our new space.
