Good morning Doss Families –
It is going to be a busy and exciting week at Doss Elementary with a lot of fun and meaningful events! Here’s a quick rundown of each event.
- Doss Book Fair – A great way for students to discover new books and foster a love for reading! Each class will visit the book fair this week, please reach out to your student’s teacher to learn which day your child will visit the book fair.
- Doss Kindness Week – A wonderful initiative to promote empathy and compassion with daily spirit themes that compliment the kindness challenges. We look forward to witnessing KINDNESS around campus next week and always.
- Doss Thanksgiving Lunch – A great way for the school community to come together and share a meal during your student’s lunchtime. Please arrive 30 minutes early to ensure you are able to get checked in and arrive at lunch on time. As you join your children for this special lunch, please sit at the designated visitor tables so we do not disturb the class’s assigned tables.
- Doss Cultural Heritage Night – Is a night to celebrate the diverse backgrounds of Doss students and staff. Please join us Thursday, November 14 at 6pm to engage in this heartwarming event.
- Friday, Nov. 15h is our annual Doss Friday Assembly honoring Veterans. If you plan on attending please arrive 30 minutes early to ensure you are able to check in.
- Doss Turkey Trot is Saturday, November 16th at 8am on the Anderson High School track.
It’s time to register your child for the 25-26 school year! The data pulled from the Enroll Austin assists AISD with staffing allocations and budgeting for the next school year. To register you need to log in to your AISD parent portal to access the Enroll Austin tab. First round of enrollment closes February 4th. If you have any questions, please contact the Doss front office staff and they will be happy to help. Please note, applications for PreK will open in April 2025.
If you were not able to attend the Parent Principal Coffee last week, HERE is the HS&R presentation.
Have a wonderful week –
