Principal Sheridan Newsletter 8/11/24

Good morning Doss Families – 

Last Thursday, we welcomed our staff back on campus.  They worked tirelessly in their classrooms, excitedly preparing for our students.  You can feel the joy and positive energy buzzing around campus!  We will continue to prepare for the school year by participating in professional development, team meetings, and lesson planning this week! 

Important dates and times for Doss back to school events.

• Thursday, August 15th: Class lists posted at 5:00pm on front windows and shared via PTA site
• Friday, August 16th: Meet the Teacher 11:00am – 12:30pm
• Tuesday, August 20th: First Day of School!

Bus Transportation Information from AISD: We recommend families whose students are eligible for General Education transportation to check their bus information by checking the district’s “Bus Stop Finder”. Families whose students have special needs will receive their information from their bus teams.  *Please keep in mind that routes and stops may change periodically. AISD’s transportation team offers families the “WheresTheBus” app, which provides timely information about the location of their student’s assigned bus only, including when it will arrive at their stop. The free app is available on any device with internet access (smartphone, tablet, personal computer, iPad)—and takes less than five minutes to install.
