Principal Sheridan Newsletter 1/7/24

Happy New Year Doss Families! I would like to extend best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year. I am looking forward to seeing all of the students, teachers and staff back at school after a long, well deserved break.

Doss Science Fair is here and there is an opportunity for you to support our students. We need Science Fair Judges on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. This is a mandatory step for students to complete in order to move on to the Regional Science Fair in February.  No experience is necessary to be a judge. If you would like to volunteer, please complete the following form Science Fair Judge Sign Up.

Thursday, January 11th at 8:30am we are hosting a Dual Language Mandarin information session for incoming kindergarten families for the 24-25 school year.  If you know of any incoming kindergarten families that might be interested, please invite them.

This Friday, January 12th we will host a Parent Principal Coffee. We will have a guest speaker, Danielle Bryant, education director of ADL (Anti-Defamation League).  She will share What ADL is and explain No Place For Hate and why it is important and the resources ADL offers.

We are looking to hire a new cafeteria monitor.  DK has moved on due to a change in his career. If you know of anyone that may be interested in the position of cafeteria monitor, please have them contact Ms. Kent or Mr. Menera.

Have a great week –

Principal Sheridan
